A visit to the farm.

For school this month, we are discussing animals and their habitats. I decided to start off easy: farm animals. The girls have really enjoyed it. We've read the Three Little Pigs, The Little Red Hen and various other poems and fables. We're also discussing where our food and clothing come from and how farmers are an important part of our lives.

We are blessed to have farmers as members of our congregation and they were gracious to let us come out for a visit to their farm. Anna has an ear infection this week, so she wasn't able to go. Julia, my AWESOME friend, took Beth, Leah and her little girl Madeline over to the Franks' farm and they LOVED it! They hadn't had much experience on a farm other than Young's Dairy, so this was a bit different. Beth was in charge of the camera and she took a great assortment to document their trip for their science journals.
